Adult ADHD Assessment in Southern NSW
Access quality ADHD assessment and ongoing care across Southern NSW and the Riverina. Get the support you need from experienced ADHD specialists.
The vast expanse of Southern NSW—from the agricultural heartland of the Riverina to the alpine regions bordering Victoria—has traditionally presented significant barriers to specialized mental health care. Our forward-thinking telehealth platform eliminates these geographic challenges, bringing expert ADHD assessment directly to residents across this diverse region. With appointments available in 5 weeks, our NSW-registered specialists understand the unique contexts of managing ADHD in regional communities where educational opportunities, healthcare access, and employment patterns differ substantially from metropolitan areas. Whether you’re in Wagga Wagga’s bustling center, Albury-Wodonga’s border community, or smaller towns like Griffith, Tumut, or Cootamundra, you can access comprehensive assessment without time-consuming travel to Sydney or Canberra.
Southern NSW’s distinctive regional healthcare landscape requires specialized knowledge for effective ADHD management. Our Riverina assessment service connects local residents with clinicians thoroughly familiar with NSW medication protocols and referral networks specific to the Murrumbidgee Local Health District. Our secure telehealth consultations accommodate the realities of rural living—from unpredictable farming schedules to shift work at regional hospitals or food processing facilities—while delivering the clinical excellence typically reserved for major cities.
Many adults across Southern NSW experience their ADHD symptoms compounded by regional factors—whether managing studies at Charles Sturt University, maintaining focus in agricultural or manufacturing roles, or balancing community responsibilities across widely dispersed towns. If concentration difficulties, time management challenges, or impulsivity are affecting your quality of life or limiting your potential in the Riverina region, our specialists provide evidence-based assessment and personalised support. Our comprehensive approach includes thorough evaluation tailored to rural contexts by our team of Psychiatrists and Mental Health GPs, and individualised management strategies that acknowledge the unique rhythm of regional life. Begin your ADHD assessment journey in Southern NSW today and discover how professional guidance can enhance your capacity to thrive in the rural communities you call home.

At Kantoko, we offer a more affordable and accessible telehealth ADHD assessment and ongoing support. Our doctors review your information ahead of time so your appointment can focus on what matters: listening, assessing and supporting you.
Our focus is on your long-term health and wellbeing so our membership is designed to support you well beyond your initial assessment.
After your first month ($200), you'll move to a $100/month Kantoko Membership, which includes:
- Follow-up appointments
- Ongoing access to your care team
- Prescription renewals and reminders
- Easy online health tracking
It's common for assessments to take 2-4 sessions to complete. There are no out of pocket costs if your assessment takes longer than expected.
Our process includes a comprehensive pre-assessment review of your information so it's important to provide detailed answers where possible. This helps your doctor understand your situation prior to the telehealth appointment.
Your first telehealth appointment takes 45 minutes. Follow-ups are dependent on your needs and can be scheduled as required.
Step 1 – Sign Up & Complete Your Assessments
Start by completing our ADHD assessments at your own pace. This helps your specialist get a clear, complete picture before your first appointment.
Step 2 – See Your GP for a Referral and Routine Tests
Before booking, you'll need to visit your GP to get:
- A referral letter
- A few routine health checks, including an ECG and standard blood tests
We'll guide you through exactly what to ask for—most GPs can handle everything in one visit.
Step 3 – Book Your Appointment
Once your referral and test results are uploaded, you'll be able to schedule your initial consultation—typically available within a few weeks.
Your mental health doctor will review your history, assess your symptoms, and, if ADHD is diagnosed, work with you to create a tailored treatment plan.
Step 4 – Stay Supported with Ongoing Care
Your journey doesn't end at diagnosis. With Kantoko, you'll have access to your care team and the platform for follow-ups, prescription renewals, and symptom tracking—all designed to support you long-term.
If you're not diagnosed with ADHD, your membership will be cancelled and no further payments will be required.
Your $100/month membership gives you everything you need for ongoing ADHD support:
- Follow-up appointments with your mental health doctor and specialist team.
- Ongoing access to your care team for questions, updates, and support.
- Prescription renewals and medication reminders
- A personalised health dashboard to track your symptoms, treatment progress, and communicate with your team
We require a valid Medicare card to access the platform. However, Medicare does not currently cover Kantoko's platform fees.
Our focus is ADHD, but we understand that many people experience co-occurring conditions like anxiety or depression. Your clinician will take a holistic approach and can support these needs as part of your care plan.
Kantoko is designed for individuals seeking assessment and long-term support for ADHD. However, we may not be the right fit for everyone.
You may not be suitable for Kantoko if you:
- Require a high level of psychiatric care or crisis intervention
- Have severe or unmanaged co-occurring conditions such as psychosis, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder
- Are currently experiencing suicidal thoughts or acute mental health episodes
- Need in-person psychiatric care or hospital-based support
If any of the above apply, we recommend seeking support from your GP or local mental health service, who can connect you with the right level of care.
