Adult ADHD Assessment in Western NSW
Access quality ADHD assessment and ongoing care across Central and Western NSW. Get the support you need from experienced ADHD specialists.
The sprawling landscapes of Western and Central NSW have long created significant barriers to specialised healthcare access, with residents of major regional centres like Orange, Bathurst, and Dubbo typically facing hours of travel or months-long waitlists for ADHD assessment. Our pioneering telehealth service transforms this reality, bringing expert ADHD care directly to adults throughout Western NSW’s diverse communities. With appointments available in 5 weeks, our NSW-registered specialists understand the distinctive challenges of managing ADHD across this vast region—from the mining communities of Broken Hill to the agricultural centres of the Central West and the unique socioeconomic contexts that shape work, education, and healthcare access west of the Great Dividing Range.
Western NSW’s distinctive regional healthcare ecosystem requires specialised knowledge for effective ADHD management. Our assessment service connects local residents with clinicians intimately familiar with NSW medication protocols and referral networks specific to the Western NSW Local Health District. Our secure telehealth consultations accommodate the realities of regional living—whether you’re juggling shift work in Bathurst’s manufacturing sector, managing agricultural responsibilities outside Orange, working in Dubbo’s education system, or dealing with the isolation of far western communities—while delivering clinical excellence typically available only in metropolitan centres.
Many adults across Western NSW experience ADHD symptoms intensified by regional factors, affecting their ability to thrive at Charles Sturt University campuses, maintain consistent performance in healthcare roles at Orange or Dubbo Base Hospitals, or successfully manage agricultural businesses across changing seasons. If attentional difficulties, time management challenges, or impulsivity are limiting your potential in work, study, or personal relationships, our Western NSW ADHD specialists provide evidence-based assessment tailored to regional contexts. Our comprehensive approach includes thorough evaluation, assessment by our team of Psychiatrists and Mental Health GPs, and personalised management strategies that respect the unique rhythm and demands of life west of the Blue Mountains. Begin your ADHD assessment journey in Western NSW today and discover how professional guidance can enhance your capacity to thrive in the heart of regional Australia.

At Kantoko, we offer a more affordable and accessible telehealth ADHD assessment and ongoing support. Our doctors review your information ahead of time so your appointment can focus on what matters: listening, assessing and supporting you.
Our focus is on your long-term health and wellbeing so our membership is designed to support you well beyond your initial assessment.
After your first month ($200), you'll move to a $100/month Kantoko Membership, which includes:
- Follow-up appointments
- Ongoing access to your care team
- Prescription renewals and reminders
- Easy online health tracking
It's common for assessments to take 2-4 sessions to complete. There are no out of pocket costs if your assessment takes longer than expected.
Our process includes a comprehensive pre-assessment review of your information so it's important to provide detailed answers where possible. This helps your doctor understand your situation prior to the telehealth appointment.
Your first telehealth appointment takes 45 minutes. Follow-ups are dependent on your needs and can be scheduled as required.
Step 1 – Sign Up & Complete Your Assessments
Start by completing our ADHD assessments at your own pace. This helps your specialist get a clear, complete picture before your first appointment.
Step 2 – See Your GP for a Referral and Routine Tests
Before booking, you'll need to visit your GP to get:
- A referral letter
- A few routine health checks, including an ECG and standard blood tests
We'll guide you through exactly what to ask for—most GPs can handle everything in one visit.
Step 3 – Book Your Appointment
Once your referral and test results are uploaded, you'll be able to schedule your initial consultation—typically available within a few weeks.
Your mental health doctor will review your history, assess your symptoms, and, if ADHD is diagnosed, work with you to create a tailored treatment plan.
Step 4 – Stay Supported with Ongoing Care
Your journey doesn't end at diagnosis. With Kantoko, you'll have access to your care team and the platform for follow-ups, prescription renewals, and symptom tracking—all designed to support you long-term.
If you're not diagnosed with ADHD, your membership will be cancelled and no further payments will be required.
Your $100/month membership gives you everything you need for ongoing ADHD support:
- Follow-up appointments with your mental health doctor and specialist team.
- Ongoing access to your care team for questions, updates, and support.
- Prescription renewals and medication reminders
- A personalised health dashboard to track your symptoms, treatment progress, and communicate with your team
We require a valid Medicare card to access the platform. However, Medicare does not currently cover Kantoko's platform fees.
Our focus is ADHD, but we understand that many people experience co-occurring conditions like anxiety or depression. Your clinician will take a holistic approach and can support these needs as part of your care plan.
Kantoko is designed for individuals seeking assessment and long-term support for ADHD. However, we may not be the right fit for everyone.
You may not be suitable for Kantoko if you:
- Require a high level of psychiatric care or crisis intervention
- Have severe or unmanaged co-occurring conditions such as psychosis, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder
- Are currently experiencing suicidal thoughts or acute mental health episodes
- Need in-person psychiatric care or hospital-based support
If any of the above apply, we recommend seeking support from your GP or local mental health service, who can connect you with the right level of care.
